It means to yield to the power, control, or possession of another upon compulsion or demand. Have you ever thought how we do not surrender to the most supportive energy in the world, The Power of the Spirit.
Are you aware that your loved one’s walk with you or try to leave you with signs that they are helping, influencing, or trying to grab your attention. Who do you think our native Neanderthal’s look to for guidance? Yes, it was the Great Spirit. Surrender does not mean to give up or to cover up.
Can you be a better version of you, able to surrender to the Spirit and retain control of your physical lives. A particularly good example of this was Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the author of Sherlock Holmes. In these books, Sir Arthur notes fingerprinting, DNA and pathology, all of which became art of our justice systems. Do you think Sir Arthur had help from his loved ones or guides in the Spirit World?
I ask you again, do you have to surrender?
I don’t believe so – with strong faith you can deal with the issues that life brings. If you use it like a counselling or advisory service faith will help you to stay calm, stop you getting stressed or finding you end up clashing personalities causing upset and distress. I was very much a non-believer until I tried this for myself, so let me share my thoughts and experiences with you.
A friend of mine was forever clashing with their loved ones and children, to the extent they would shout and scream at each other. Following a suggestion, my friend reached out to their ‘higher self’ he asked his workers to speak to those of the person / family member he was struggling with. He then asked his ‘guides’ to speak to theirs and to help find resolve. Both their guides were collectively able to help both parties to surrender bringing peace to the situation. My friend still applies this modelling to any important parts of his life.
Historically, to help those in pain or suffering to find peace and comfort, Native Indians such as Red Cloud and Silver arrow worked with spiritual channels around the world. This ‘Spiritual Healing’ comes in many guises.
Spiritual Healing can come from ‘spiritual healer’ in church or out. It works when the healer is absent, distant or in person.
Reiki, another form of healing, is practiced on all three levels of the etheric, mental, physical and emotional bodies.
Shamanic Healing works on the same principle as both spiritual and holistic healing practices.
Trance Healing is also based on the same principles as all other types. What differs, is the ‘chaneller’ gives up partial control of their mind and allows the healing to work through them.
Despite their differences all these forms of healing have a conclusive outcome and bring a better quality of life. Generally, they are all one and the same, sharing the wonderful energies in our ether. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if all modalities recognise each other?
During a spiritual or holistic treatment, we surrender ourselves into the nurturing care of the practitioner and to the energy.
Please take time to appreciate the natives who hundreds of years ago, had no other option to surrender themselves. They had to stop practicing their faith and align to the narrative of controlling, religious figures and were denied holding services, speaking their own language.
Many years later, the UK spiritualist membership stood up against authority when they too found they were being driven ‘underground.’ Helen Duncan, a phenomenal medium, was imprisoned for the practice of witchcraft. Eventually, after much resistance, Helen was released, and the Fraudulent Mediums Act came into force. This allowed mediums and spiritualists to hold services and practice their own beliefs. Helen Duncan was a trail blazer for us mediums, helping authorities understand that they too must ‘surrender.’
We all come from the same source and place. No matter our creed or colour, we are brothers and sisters in a spiritual sense and so, when we see someone in difficulty we should extend the hand of friendship – be kind to one another despite our differences help unite families and heal hearts.
