Is it about freedom? Helping others? Good health?
For some people, happiness is having the ‘basic’ fundamentals; enough food to eat, water to drink, shelter to stay warm, clothes to wear and of course, good health.
For others, happiness comes from being in a peaceful, calm frame of mind, no matter their circumstances.
Whilst happiness should be a constant condition of life, it often isn’t. Our conditioning, childhoods, circumstances, and even past lives play a part in our ability to enjoy life. Being born into an unhappy family or having to face difficult circumstances in adulthood can ebb away at our joy for life.
Not everyone realises the lessons that challenging situations bring. They are sent to help us appreciate each day, each moment of living on a beautiful planet with an abundance of nature – flowers, trees, plants, rivers, oceans. If only we could slow down enough to realise the wonder of life. I feel sure our quality of life would improve significantly.
Personally, I never knew my real father, he left my mother when she was carrying me, but my blessing was that I had a lovely stepfather who cared about me very much. I appreciated the comfort and security of being part of happy family enormously, protected by a father figure.
Think carefully – what make you really happy?
Instead of moaning and going into victimhood, you know, the ‘poor me’ syndrome, where people see a half empty cup, that can seem so common these days.
I have found I am more appreciative of life as I get a little older, especially since Covid when we were all ‘locked down’ – only able to go out for a walk or to the supermarket. Thankfully we have moved beyond all that and are again able to find gratitude in all that life has to offer. Isn’t it wonderful when the smallest of things brings you joy – a stranger’s smile, a helping hand, a child’s laughter a compliment?
Laughter is a much-needed tonic, especially in a world that seems to have lost its way. Being able to take things less seriously and find the humour in situations around us always lifts the spirit. A happy soul will raise the spirit of those around them and spread cheer to all they meet. I must admit some people these days have lost their sense of humour.
My advice is to try not to get too drawn into the media. Try to ‘detach’ from the negativity in the world – perhaps stop reading the newspapers and limit the amount of TV news you take in, especially before bedtime. Remember the days when the news used to end on ‘a lighter note’? More of that please. Tel-U-Vision as I call is so negative now, isn’t it?
Some of us are looking forward to creating the New Earth – the 5D golden era of a community filled with love and peace, where everyone helps each other instead of being separate from one another. I know that the future will be wonderful.
Sit down and meditate on how you would like to live in the new golden age. What would make you happy when we are truly in the new 5D energy?
Currently, it can be a bit confusing to be 5D living in a 3D world, but happiness is just around the corner. All the children born within the last 10 years are ‘holding the light’ for everyone now.
My grandchildren, especially my granddaughter Daisy, aged 4, do make me laugh. Daisy is so innocent and cute but at the same time comes out with grown up words and tries to boss me about, Ha. My grandson William has a wonderful sense of humour. Our children are the future – enjoy them.
I encourage you to make the most of your days, weeks, months, and years. Be happy, have gratitude and hope for the future. You don’t want to look back in your later years and realise how silly you were being miserable. A happy disposition is like a magnet, it attracts others of the same nature and life grows more precious and enjoyable.
Sing the song ‘Be Happy’ to yourself, stay in the flow of life and keep that smile on your face. Happiness, as they say, makes the world go round.
