When you are one with one another.
When you believe who you are and are not looking for anything else.
When you get your ego out of the way and being the consciousness, you truly are. When you can look at yourself in the mirror and know that you love yourself wholly.
That is acceptance.
Acceptance is also about people’s views – it means do not judge. Let people have their say. If they believe in what you talk about, that’s fine but if they don’t agree, that’s fine too. Don’t try to put people right, let them express their views, let them be accepted for who they are.
Acceptance isn’t something you can put on a shelf, it isn’t about ‘labelling’ people. It is having an open mind and taking in what other people are saying – listening, just listening. You don’t have to put your point of view across, just by being silent and listening to somebody, you are accepting their views. By looking somebody in the eye when they are talking to you and listening, you are still accepting their views.
Acceptance comes in many different forms and shapes and different frequencies. If you can accept yourself, then you can accept everybody else. If you are ‘triggered’ by someone else, you must look deep inside because there is something they have said something you don’t accept. Who has got the problem? Them, or you misunderstanding their meaning? Was there a different tone or shape to what they said? Was there a different frequency? Was it said aggressively? Was it said with love? Was it said with compassion? Was it said with hate?
Whatever form it takes, it is your responsibility to accept what they are saying.
If someone is gossiping – how do you accept that? Again, by listening, keeping an open mind, and analysing it internally, without comment. Your response could impact someone’s life in a dreadful way so hold your own council. You don’t know how fragile people really are.
Acceptance is about being who you truly are, showing love, showing compassion without judgement.
