We live in a more and more divisive world which can separate us from our true destiny. The Soul of Humanity is going through incredible challenges which is taking us forward towards Initiation. Sometimes it is through the darkness that we find ourselves. These times are often fearful for many, and it can lead us to lose hope. However, these are reasons for what is happening around us and the Soul of Humanity is working towards a purpose. That purpose is the unfoldment and recognition of the Light within. The Light that now appears hidden behind the darkness. This Light and Love is the very essence of the Creator. So we are working towards unfolding and understanding that we are Co-Creators with the Divine.
First, to try to understand what is happening globally, we need to remember that we are in the last gasp of the Piscean Age and in the beginning throes of the Aquarian Age. We are also releasing and cleansing our karmic debts of the Piscean cycle. The Aquarian Age is more about freedom of expression, and we are certainly experiencing that but however, the pendulum often swings too far to one side, so we need to find that balance. Freedom of expression is great, but it is how we do it that matters. To be able to voice who we are means that we feel empowered to be who we are. However, this freedom does not mean we need to run roughshod over others. Everyone is entitled to this freedom of expression; we need to use this freedom with sensitivity and compassion.
Balance and harmony can bring us unity. However, the greatest unity we can find is within ourselves. Are we balanced, harmonious and united as an individual? Let us first define what we are. There are three parts of us, Personality, Soul, Spirit. The Personality is also in three parts – the physical, emotional and mental. So how do we find the balance between these?
The Personality
The Personality is the outer character in this lifetime. Our Personality is our likes and dislikes, our emotions and our thoughts. It is the image we portray to others in everyday life. Our Personality is very necessary to our growth. It is by going through every challenge, every experience that we develop and unfold. Both the emotional and mental bodies must find a point of balance between them. For many of course, the outer character, the Personality, is the only aspect that they are aware of.
The Soul
The Soul is our conscience, our higher self, our higher intelligence. It is that part of us that knows the path, knows what lessons we need to learn to evolve and unfold. Our Soul guides us through the many lifetimes and is the mediator between Spirit and matter. The individual human Soul has a threefold nature.:
- It is self-conscious (personality)
- It is group conscious and at a very deep level it is
- God conscious (Spirit or Monad)
The Soul exists as pure consciousness, pure intelligence and is there to guide the personality through multiple human experiences. The purpose of life is about the Personality, the individual human Soul understanding itself through it subtle bodies – the physical, the mental and emotional – and slowly following many lifetimes and many different outer forms, the Soul guides the Personality to reach a stage when it becomes aware that there is something more and greater than its subtle bodies. The Personality becomes aware of itself as a consciousness and most importantly, it understands it has a Soul purpose.
When this realisation occurs, the soul begins to gradually raise its awareness by realising that it is part of a Soul group of which we are one aspect. Eventually the individual Soul will understand that it needs to integrate and balance all three of its subtle bodies of the Personality and raise its own awareness or consciousness to integrate the Personality with the Soul. This integration is attained through the process of Initiation which every individual human Soul needs to go through. In time we will raise our consciousness to the one illumined mind, our spiritual monad, our spiritual Self.
Initiation is a point of high achievement of the Soul having reached and attained a deeper understanding of itself as a Higher Consciousness. Initiations are simply expansion of Consciousness, bringing clarity, illumination and enlightenment.
The Spirit
Spirit is the very essence of the Creator, the Absolute Being. It uses the Soul as a vehicle to guide our path. It is our breath, our energy and the life impulse.
Unity is about the realisation that in reality all three are only ONE.
