Trust

Trust is the destiny builder, the ultimate choice of what we will give ourselves to.

There is, in the will of creation, a wish for freedom and a promise of cherishment.

But to Trust that life means us no harm, that it is faithful to its vow of benevolence, is not so easy. There are many bumps in the road that cause us to forget the kindness of life. Difficulties that move us out of the heart and into the mind’s chaotic catacombs of what was or what will be.

The mind does search for things it can trust and rely on; ground where it can stand without falter but what the mind creates is always a fragile thing; begotten of the frayed strands of judgment and comparison.

It is unable to perceive the greater truths that carry the power of life. That gift is given to the heart. The place we will go whenever we search the core of ourselves, or when we try to fathom the next invisible step, and always if we touch the divine nature of things.

When we touch this deeper heart of ourselves, we regain the consolation of trust. We become loved and can travel beyond the confines of the mind’s education, to see what the heart already knows.

Trust that there is a part of you
that loves you dearly, that holds the greatest vision of yourself and wishes only for your happiness.

SELF-CARE

There will come a time in this life or the next when our pain, because of the confinement we put upon our soul, will become too much. Then by happenstance or by our own exasperation, we will be caused to surrender to a deeper sense of self-care.

We will embrace the vulnerability of ourselves and from this place of power, we will break the shackles that have bound us to who we were and create a new story of ourselves.

We will give ourselves the gift to travel the paths that were unseen, for we will have found what was always there, hidden until we had used up all that we were before.

In this unfamiliar land, some human virtue will be crafted in the darkness to light our way. We will muster an attitude that will bring peace to the soul of ourselves. And as we emerge into the light of day a celebration will be heard amongst the stars for, we will have come home to ourselves.

THE PATH

There is a path that knows where it goes.

She is a storyteller of distant dreams, of wish and hope and more.

It is a path we have loved before, a journey of forgotten steps to a place where who we are is not constrained by time or space. Its picture of life exists in our dream time; a place of beauty that our fragile mind dismisses in the sober light of the day as just too fantastic, too wild, and too beautiful.

But this vision is no illusion, it is who we love to be… the feeling of our future self.

It is our inevitable destination, a destiny that is only held beyond reach by our own fear, the fear of our own power. That power is the path; a strand of light from us now to the greatest image of ourselves.

We will always return to this enchanted path when we remember to remember our greater wish of life and so, embrace our beloved self.

Now

When we settle into the moment of the now without sliding away into what can be because of it, we touch the flow of life and avail ourselves of its grace and power.

The power and the light of life does not exist in tomorrow nor in the thoughts of yesterday, it exists in the now.

This moment will always be brighter, stronger than the moment that was or the moment yet to be. It is after all the moment of life, its source, and its cause. But we hardly ever touch the moment of the now because we are too busy telling it what it should be, ascribing it a meaning that is born from yesterday’s experience.

When we do this, we slide away from its presence in a wish to secure a future that has yet to happen; what we think can be because of it.

This wish to name the moment give it a meaning other than what it is, comes from our fragile self, that part of us that feels it can be hurt or broken. The insecurity it carries causes us to look outside of the moment for the security we feel we do not have.

In doing this, we abandon our authenticity and let go of the hand of the soul. We become a vagrant with no earth beneath our feet and no soul in our song.

To be in the now is our true freedom, all other times we are a slave to some preconceived idea of its meaning, a power of perception that has been created by our memories of how we think it should be. But the actual moment of the now is greater, far greater than what our habitual memories can say it is.

The now is always beyond what we think and so, to enter the now is an act of surrender, a willingness to accept the great unknown of ourselves and then, with courage, to hold fast to the wild beauty of the moment’s presence.

When we allow the moment to be a moment, the light of our soul embraces the heart and heals our fragile mind.
