The Art of Connection

An eternal, continual, sometimes violent, and aggressive process that can also be kind, gentle, and loving, yet always dynamic, the art of connection isn’t bound by guidelines, formal rules, boundaries, or procedures. Yet in all its differences, connectedness is essential to all life on Earth and in the multiverse. Whether causal or logical, a state of being or through communication, connectability creates the future. It’s the engine that drives you forward. Without it you are inert, there is no future, and life as you know it wouldn’t exist.

Connecting, interconnecting, disconnecting, and reconnecting irrespective of the purpose, is complex. It involves a multi-layered, multi-formed, multi-channelled process that enables the fabric of life in all its forms to be continually woven into a multitude of different social and physical environments.

You have an inbuilt mechanism that helps you to find your way through the maze of connectedness, it is your need to survive. A fundamental need that changes and evolves with you as you grow as a human being and meet your full potential. A need drives you to consciously and subliminally connect on an intellectual, emotional, physical, spiritual, and soul level to people, places, other animals, and things. By doing so you help you function within a social environment. It is a process vital to your survival and can happen naturally or take a lot of effort depending upon how your brain is wired.

This same basic drive connects you to everything and anything intangible within the earth and the cosmos. Incorporeality weaves its magic into your senses and guides your instincts to help, guide, support, and sometimes protect you as you mingle within your social and natural environments, living your life.

One of the two most powerful, enduring, and permanent connections you have is between the earth and the skies, in equal measure. At this point, it is important to remember that the word earth means the land, the seas, and the oceans all of which are a part of nature, which inhabits a planet that orbits the sun. When you make such a connection, you are at one with yourself because you are of the earth. Only when you are in a plane, an air balloon, or in a lift are you not directly or indirectly connected to the earth’s ground.

What disconnects you from the earth are the goings on with that of the world, which is the word used to describe the human activities associated with human beings while they are connected to and live on the earth. Many of these activities unground you, at which time your mind which is a part of but not connected to your brain, is released from its harness of rational thinking. At this point, you lose focus on what is happening in the now.

The second most important and enduring connection you have is being connected to the sky. The sky is the place between the Earth’s ground and outer space, it is an element of nature and is therefore set apart from the environment of nature.

It is an instinctual and usually automatic reaction to look at the sky during the day and night. You are drawn to look at the skies from birth even before you can’t see much until you are six months old. When you can see the clouds and the stars in all their glory for the first time your connection to the source from whence you come, the cosmos, and in particular the stars are activated. From then on, each time you look at the sky you remind yourself of your origins and the fact you have come from and are in the earthly embodiment of a star

This is supported by the fact that 86% of the elements in your body’s mass are minute bits of stardust that have journeyed through several supernovas. The stardust is made up of gold, silver, and billion years old carbon. Furthermore, it’s thought that 9.5% of the hydrogen and lithium contained within your mass originated from the Big Bang.

All this is made possible by the invisible and intangible existence of unmanifested prana of pure awareness. An intelligent universal consciousness that runs through the diversity of life both on Earth and within the multiverse that it creates. With your feet acting as the sole connection to the Earth, your head in the sky, and your mind in outer space, you are the essence of the universal consciousness in physical form on the Earth plane.

The prana that lies within you reverberates through your chakra and meridian energy systems that flow throughout your body, and your aura that manifests your physical self. It enables you to connect to your unmanifested prana, your Higher self.

So, whether it is a clear or cloudy day or night, the next time you catch yourself looking upward, or even staring into space however fleetingly, know that on a very deep level, it is a signal that you are looking and yearning for your home, the place you instinctively know is where you truly belong. Until you return, know that such a simple basic habit of looking at the skies sets your mind free. As it wanders through the magnificence of the cosmos, it collects information that can’t be sourced from elsewhere. Upon its return to your cranium, your brain collates this treasure trove of goodies, and before you know it, you have inspired thought.
