Spiritual connections transcend physical and emotional levels, touching the core of one’s being and often involving a sense of shared purpose, deep understanding, and mutual growth. These connections can be with other people, animals, nature, or even a higher power. Here are some key aspects and types of spiritual connections:

When we look at Interpersonal Spiritual Connections, we find relationships such as Soul Mates who are believed to share a deep pre-existing bond as it feels like a profound connection beyond any physical or emotional realms.

Considered to be two halves of the same soul, Twin Flames with their intense connection, only feel complete after connecting as though they felt a sense of loss before meeting. Kindred Spirits are like good friends who resonate on a deep spiritual level. share similar life paths, values and beliefs.

Some people have a profound sense of peace when Connecting with Nature. Natural settings, bonding deeply with earth, plants, animals and nature. I am at peace beside the sea and grounding myself barefoot on the grass.

Connecting with a Higher Power through, meditation, prayer and practising as an ordained Minister gives me a sense of peace and belonging to something greater. It is an honour to be asked to give thanks and celebrate the earthly life as a soul returns home to the higher side. It also allows me as a spiritual healer and a practising medium to bring comfort and hope to others.

It is so important to Connect with your Soul as it promotes inner peace and self-awareness. It is also essential for us to reflect on our thoughts and actions as we are not always thinking spiritually.

There are several characteristics of having a Spiritual Connection, one would be the deep sense of knowing, often without words which transcends physical appearances and personal histories. We often feel their pain, past hurt and longings. Communicating nonverbally or intuitively we can sense the feelings of others, thoughts and needs. Loving supporting and respecting each other’s life journey unconditionally. This may be the catalyst for personal growth as they encourage each other to reach their highest potential whilst learning life lessons.

People usually meet for a purpose or mission. People enter our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime. It is never coincidental. Some connections feel that they have known each other in another lifetime like “déjà vu”.

To cultivate your connection to the higher realms you must be fully present in your interactions and actively listening to truly engage with others. You need to be authentic in your relationships being vulnerable and open helps foster a deeper connection.

Meditation and prayer can enhance your spiritual connections or universal consciousness and may be practised alone. However, shared experiences such as a development circle and healing circle, spiritual study groups or group meditation can deepen your bond and mutual understanding. Spending time in nature, walking, yoga, walking barefoot in nature is an excellent practice for grounding yourself or many people choose cold water swimming in a supportive group. Everyone is on their journey and chooses activities which suit their lifestyle but acts of kindness and compassion for others can foster a sense of unity.

I mentor trainee mediums who attend my church. Starting with an open circle I am assessing who has a connection to spirit/a higher being. I encourage them to go with their gut feelings and their intuition. Having the support of other circle members gives them a sense of belonging as they share experiences of activities to foster their connection. Emphasis is placed on don’t use your connection to cause harm or bad feelings to others.

After each activity, we have time set aside for questions they may have.  It is made clear that no question is a stupid question to encourage them to relate to both me and other members. This also encourages meaningful conversation. I encourage them to be open to trust whatever message or guidance spirit may wish to offer. As they build a connection with each other and spirit their bond also becomes stronger.

Connections with spirit enhance your life in many ways as you get a deep sense of fulfilment, joy and inner peace. You have a support system which will never let you down as you navigate your way through life’s challenges.  You contribute and feel a strong sense of being interconnected and belonging to something much greater than yourself. You are encouraged to live an authentic lifestyle and inspire yourself and others to be motivated to pursue their passions.

Some people would say anyone can have the connection and others would say it’s a gift. I would say it has been a gift for me as I have gone through my life both with guidance and healing. Allowing me, as a medium, to be the channel to deliver communication to loved ones. Their messages to me were not always what I wanted but it was what spirit knew I needed at that time and for that, I am truly thankful.
