Punch Bag to the Heart

The key to a happy and positive life lies in how well we treat ourselves, from a heart perspective.

When we experience stress and negative emotions; tension, anger, frustration or fear, our physical heart pattern becomes irregular and incoherent negatively affecting health, brain function, performance and sense of wellbeing.

Trace testing our Heart Rate Variability indicates the beat-to-beat changes in our heart’s rhythm. As we are more than the physical, our energetics and moods change to suit our heart rate, rhythm and frequency to align with the physical changes.  Our worlds shrink as the dip affects our subconscious minds.

Our emotions affect both our physical and energetic ‘heart centres’ and vice versa, affecting our will and motivation. On a daily basis we deal with emotions, cross words and sounds from our environment and home life. Our heart centres can become a ‘punch bag’ from every quarter of life; relationships, social interactions, working relationships and of course, the relationship with our own self.

Daily, media and computers bombard us with rhythms, vibrations and frequencies – they hit the heart, sometimes hard.  Whether at home or in the office, at the shops or in the car, these disturbances can unsettle the balance of the physical heart.  These fluctuations create a feeling of vulnerability as we feel off kilter. This is why we feel better when we are out of the challenging environment.

Forest Bathing is a form of therapy for getting out in nature, it encourages people to get away from their desks, media and computers and head towards nature’s natural frequencies and rhythms – streams and hills sooth the heart. Walking or running in nature clears the head and is an excellent coping strategy to remove ourselves from the detrimental environment.

Unkind words are weapons striking like a missile at a heart and solar plexus level, criticism feels like a punch to the heart.  The memories of such unkindness remain in our physical and energetic hearts bringing shock waves to our systems. When we live untruths, neglect ourselves, become detached and blind to our needs we pack a punch – emotional abuse to the heart lowers our heart rhythm making us feel weak as our strength ebbs away resulting in fatigue and lethargy.  As a physical organ, the heart takes a battering daily from ignorance neglect and harsh living.

Happiness is a state of mind and heart.

Happiness is generated neurologically in the frontal cortex of the brain. Of course, we all have different ideas of what happiness is. Is it the glass of wine? The shopping spree? A night out with friends or the walk in the park and nature?  Or perhaps a good workout at the gym does it for you?  In some cases, materialism has replaced inner happiness as we look outside to satisfy the empty gap we feel within.

When we are left bereft from a young age, the physical core and heart becomes weak. When we lose a loved one, (even a favourite toy or animal we have bonded with), and are grieving for the loss of life, some people do not, or cannot, come to terms with its enormity. The hurt remains present in all things, almost tangible. Both physical and energetic Hearts becomes damaged with grief and loss.

Energetically, it feels as though we have a big hole in the heart. The energetic ‘cords’ we make in all relationships (even with self) can be very thick. It is the ripping of these cords, when the relationship is over, can leave us feeling bereft with a gaping space that is hard to fill. It takes time to heal, the heart can be full of scars and tears from a lifetime of continually being ‘punched’, much like a boxer’s skin tears feels the wounds.

Hormonally happiness is generated and affected from the Heart.

Self-esteem and self-worth are generated by bonding (the biggest time is at birth), receiving love and nurturing from parents and family.  The Love Hormone, Oxytocin gives us a feeling of comfort, and satisfaction.Oxytocin – it is rgeleased in birth, sexual act and after a good meal. Oxytocin floods the senses, brain and body giving us feelings of satisfaction and happiness. Hormonally generated and seen in the eyes of those who love us. A surge of love and compassion causes our heart rate, rhythm and energetics to expand.  Our energetics grow when we feel love, it makes us feel spacious and free.  When we are out of kilter or in fear, our energetics will shrink around us making us feel trapped and vulnerable.

We can help ourselves.

By becoming aware of ‘the self’ and reflecting on how well we are comforting or neglecting the heart, we can improve the quality and longevity of life. Happiness comes from more than one ‘thing’ or by just ‘thinking positively’.  Happiness comes from our internal projections and creations; from collectively making change and being mindful of what we are doing or receiving on a daily basis.

Do something that makes you happy. Little things mean a lot.  Quality time and outcome.

Make a list of what brings you happiness and follow it. Feel the heart blossom with little surges of Oxytocin bringing longer lasting pleasure, inner comfort and peace of mind.

Additionally, by investing in energetic correction we improve our physicality, mood and outlook of what happiness means to us. It is much more easily achieved than you think. Follow the guidance from my free downloadable CD (on website) to enhance your energetics.

Happiness is in your hands.
