Honesty

honesty - More to life magazine

Spiritual honesty means ‘To thine own self, be true’.

It is one of the pillars of greatness, as it evokes a practical experience of God’s love, and the feeling that God and I are very close.

There is so much power in this experience.

Unfortunately, instead of enjoying such greatness in a natural way, most people forgo this opportunity by makes excuses.

Lying in an obvious form of dishonesty but in fact making excuses is worse.

While falsehoods are usually easily detected, it can be a long time before we realise that we are making excuses.

A lot of life can be wasted by this deception.

When you think about it, what excuse could there be for not making yourself close to God?
