Priceless Kindness

Kindness of the spoken word. It begins with intention, thought and speech then outcome. Our human emotions are the result of a response or reaction to the spoken, written word and actions that develop from those intended thoughts. We can therefore always be in control of the outcome within our immediate vicinity and with the ripple effect further afield.

Our relationships with each other within the sanctuary of our home, with our friends and colleagues are dependent upon the tone and the words spoken. Our clarity of thought and our subsequent delivery of those thoughts determine our relationships. Therefore, it should always be the case that we be aware of our intentions, our thoughts, our spoken word and deliver them with Kindness (that IS Kindness with a capital K) at the heart of our being.

It doesn’t take too much to remember a harshly spoken word which has come in our direction and that memory can linger and of course trigger our response in similar situations. However, it doesn’t have to be a cyclic pattern of one harsh word being returned by another, instead with Kindness at the heart of our intentions every day, we can find an alternative path through what is an extremely transitional time on Earth.

Our lives are short in the overall view of things, the present is a moment, just a moment, and now that very moment which has been written, those words describing the present as this moment are already the past. The present moment determines the next action, the next word, the next thought and so determines the future. They are all merely moments in time, all connected, all the same.

There is only this moment that is important, the now moment and therefore fill it with kindness. What impact will that have on our past, present and future?

Kindness in the present moment will become the past, and the thoughts of kindness in the future are created in the present and actions from those thoughts will generate a new present moment, a future that is full of kindness too and that means your time on the Earth filled with Kindness moments.

It will mean you will have the reward of knowing that you have offered kindness from the essence of your being, with no other reward necessary for in terms of spiritual law what energy is given out is returned.

What I am promoting here is if you are fully present in the moment and if that moment is generated by being kind, then that energy will expand from person to person, kindness can snowball throughout the globe.

This concept is strange to those who look around at the state of the world. Yet that state is a human made state and a human made resolution can be the answer.

there is only the now moment – fill it with kindness

A unified solution starts with simplicity. A simple kind gesture which can stretch far and wide. Passing it on.

Paying for the next person’s coffee, helping someone with their heavy bag, seeking out ways to interact with kindness, challenging ourselves to how way kind acts we can fill the day with, this leaves us in a state where we must think no more, just simply act as a part of our being.

It takes a little care, a little thought of what we say and how we offer our thoughts, speech and actions.

We may be under pressure at work and haven’t got the time for the next delivery of a request of a colleague… but if we are sharp, and harsh in the way we speak, does that really motivate? Will the job be done to the very best and efficiently or will the receiver be pre-occupied and focussed on the tone used rather than the job at hand?

We have a personal responsibility to make sure our being interacts in the best way with our fellow human beings. Respect and kindness go a long way. One day it will be a day where the world goes on without us as individuals. The work will continue, the traffic will be clogged on the same roads, the children will be going to school, and our life will have ended.

The difference we can give to the world in our own unique way is the way we speak, the way we think and the way we act. If these are with kindness at the root then it simply will have a ripple effect and change the world, one kind act at a time.

We all love a kind word, we all love to be motivated in a positive way to hear we are doing well, our best is good enough, we have done a great job.

I believe humanity; with all its wonderful cultures and creeds present and the rich diversity they behold, are in essence loving beings and we can show this love clearly every day.

I remember many acts of kindness shown me along the path of my life, I also remember days when I felt alone, sad, and lost. I wouldn’t wish that feeling on anyone. We are all human, not perfect and we can only do our best, but our best is great, and a small kindness means so much when you are feeling low.

So, let’s not look to do random acts of kindness but instead make our mantra, BE KIND, make it part of our being every day. Time is short so let’s just do it. Kindness etched on our hearts, let’s make a difference. Even with the people we find challenging, even in the moments we find hard, even when we are sad and alone too because when we help others, we can help ourselves. So simply be kind to yourself by being kind to others too. We are rich in love so let’s share it, now, when the world needs it most.

You might ask, “What is the cost of all this kindness?” Well, the answer might just be to someone who needs it, priceless.
