There’s glory in this human form, such bliss, such joy, O to be born
To come into this world and yet to rise above, not to forget
Our own divine true origin. If you could see what this could mean
Know what a joy this life can be, to know yourown divinity
To know that we can really see, what lies in you, what lies in me.
We get ensnared by worldly things, concerns and cares and worryings
But when we let our hearts fly free, then what beauty we can see
Thus lifted up we can proceed and travel where our paths may lead
Through lessons easy, lessons sweet, lessons hard, each we can meet
And greet them with a knowing smile, invite them in to stay a while.
To teach us true, to teach us well, to tell us all they have to tell
And when at last we’ve done enough, we’ve learnt our lessons, sweet and tough
To say goodbye then to the learning, to answer our heart’s inner yearning
To leave this schoolroom, leave this form, go back to where our souls were born
Back to where our souls were born.
